KS2 Enterprise 2017

This year’s theme for the much-anticipated KS2 Enterprise fortnight was ‘Saving the Universe’, in which pupils had to focus on using unwanted items in order to ‘upcycle’ them and make them into something new, which could make money! The children really excelled with this task, and were able to make some amazing products out of items which would have just ended up in the bin.

A huge thank you to Year 10, who helped to mentor and guide our KS2 students. Also thank you to Mr Murray Sellars and Mr Nick Turner, who provided the groups with their loans to get their small businesses started, and who were both a great source of wisdom and encouragement for our students throughout the process.

The businesses were as follows:

Pegs ‘n’ Stands, from Warriors, who raised £315.12 and won the award for Best Overall Business

CAP (Candles and Plants), from Warriors, who raised £65.85 and won the award for Most Positive Team

Plants Bootique, from Troopers, who raised £157.54 and won the award for Best Trade Stand

Tidy Box, from Troopers, who raised £212.36 and won the award for Most Innovative Product

Blankets 4 U, from Raiders, who raised £116.42 and won the award for Best Quality Product

CB+, from Raiders, who raised £130.91 and won the award for Social and Ethical Impact

Well done and thank you to all students, parents and community members for helping us raise an incredible amount of funds for the school!

Kind regards
