This year we have seen an improvement in all areas of our GCSE results. Our GCSE pupils worked hard and tirelessly throughout the examination period and this hard work has come to fruition.

A detailed analysis of our examination results will be shared with the pupils on Tuesday the 6th September, with a copy being sent home for all parents. Up until then please see below the highlights of the successes at Cottingham Campus we have had this year.

This year we saw 100% of pupils achieving their target grades or better in both English and Maths, this is an improvement upon last year’s 89%.

We have also seen 100% of pupils achieve 5 A* – C grades including English and Maths, again an improvement on last year’s 89%.

The % of pupils achieving the E Baccalaureate has also risen from 78% to 88%.

Last year the Progress 8 Measure at the school was +0.6. We set ourselves a target this year of achieving +0.8, and we are happy to share with you that we have indeed achieved and surpassed our target with a progress 8 score of +0.9. (Please see the Progress 8 Fact Sheet for more information on how this works)

A huge well done to all of our year 11’s, Harry, Lorna, Layla, Garth, Scott, Gareth, Jared and Martina, who have all achieved outstanding results. A special mention to Scott who successfully managed to achieve A* grades in every subject, as well as achieving A grades in the two AS Level subjects he studied alongside his GCSE’s. Achieving the maximum grade possible in every subject.

A huge well done to all pupils and members of staff at Team Cottingham. Another record year of results, we look forward to seeing what 2017 will bring.
